For those interested in working in a dental office, there are different types of roles available which each carry a different amount of training and which each require different types of certifications and knowledge. Obviously, becoming a dentist is a job which requires the most training while being an administrative assistant may require much less specialized classes. It's also possible to undertake dental assistant training and become involved in the process of keeping patients' teeth healthy while being less qualified and schooled than a full time dentist.
